Gabriela and Daniel’s Nikkah at Palestine House in London was a beautiful example of a modern, intimate Muslim wedding, filled with emotion, tradition, and natural moments.

As guests arrived and settled into the space, there was a quiet anticipation — a calm, meaningful start to their London Nikkah ceremony.

The ceremony took place with a traditional partition between them, creating a sense of intimacy and anticipation that is so unique. Gabriela entered wearing a red veil, immediately drawing the focus of the room and setting the tone for what was to come.

The ceremony began with the formalities and the signing of the contract, a quiet but significant moment that marked the start of their marriage.

One of the most emotional moments of the day came when the veil was lifted — that first moment of seeing each other. Almost immediately after, petals were thrown from the balcony above, adding movement and atmosphere and creating one of the most visually striking moments of the ceremony.

The ceremony flowed into the exchange of rings, followed by candid interactions, family reactions, and group moments.

After the ceremony, we stepped outside Palestine House for a short walk and couple portraits around London, making the most of the surrounding architecture and natural light.

Back inside, the space transformed into a relaxed wedding reception, where guests gathered for a shared meal. The atmosphere softened into conversation, laughter, and genuine connection — often where the most meaningful wedding photos happen.

The day ended with a simple cake cutting, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Photographed using a mix of digital and 35mm film, this London Nikkah was captured in a natural, timeless way — focusing on the real moments happening.

If you’re planning your own Nikkah or wedding and feel drawn to this kind of photography, I’d love to capture it for you.
