I’ll only use your information where I have a legitimate reason to do so, and I’ll never sell your personal information to third parties.

When you enquire or book with LYFPHOTOS, I may collect information including:
Your name and your partner’s name
Email address
Phone number
Wedding or session date and location
Venue details
Addresses needed for photography coverage
Information about your wedding, session and timeline
Names of family members or other people provided for group photographs
Information you choose to provide through questionnaires
Contracts, invoices and payment information
Emails and other correspondence with me
Photographs taken as part of your wedding or session
My website may also collect technical information about how you use it through cookies and Google Analytics.

The legal basis I rely on will depend on what I’m using the information for. Generally, this will be because it’s necessary to take steps before entering into a contract with you, to fulfil our contract once you book, to meet a legal obligation, or because I have a legitimate business interest in running and improving LYFPHOTOS.
Where I specifically ask for consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
SERVICES I USE
I use a small number of trusted third-party services to help me run LYFPHOTOS.
PIXIESET
My website, enquiry forms, client management and online galleries are hosted through Pixieset. This means information you submit through my website, as well as information required to manage your booking and deliver your photographs, may be processed through Pixieset.
GMAIL / GOOGLE
I use Gmail for email communication with clients, so your name, email address and the contents of our correspondence may be stored within my Google account.
STRIPE
Where Stripe is used to process a payment, Stripe processes the information required to complete that transaction. I do not receive or store your full card details.
BANK TRANSFER
If you choose to pay by bank transfer, relevant transaction information will appear within my business banking records.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and interact with my website. This may include information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information and how you arrived at my website.
These companies have their own privacy and data-protection practices and may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
PHOTOGRAPHS
As a photographer, the images I create may contain identifiable people.
How your photographs may be used by LYFPHOTOS — for example, on my website, portfolio, blog or social media — is also covered by your photography contract and any privacy or sharing preferences agreed as part of your booking.
If we have agreed that your photographs will remain private, I will respect that agreement.
HOW LONG I KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
I only keep personal information for as long as I reasonably need it for the purpose it was collected, including providing my services and meeting legal, tax and accounting requirements.
Some booking and financial records may therefore need to be retained after your wedding or session has taken place.
Photographs and completed galleries may be retained for longer for archive and business-record purposes, subject to the terms of your photography agreement.
COOKIES & ANALYTICS
My website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the website to work correctly, while others may be used to understand how visitors use the site.
I use Google Analytics to help me understand website traffic and how visitors interact with LYFPHOTOS.
