Bianca and Luca’s wedding at Chelsea Town Hall was one of those days that felt special from the very beginning.
With Bianca being Brazilian and Luca English, their celebration brought together two cultures, two families, and so many people who clearly loved them. As a Brazilian living in England myself, it felt particularly meaningful to document a day that reflected so much of my own story too.
Their ceremony at Chelsea Town Hall was intimate and emotional, surrounded by family and friends. Afterwards, everyone gathered outside for congratulations, hugs, and plenty of photos beneath the beautiful flowers outside the town hall.
From there, everyone boarded a classic London bus and headed into central London. Despite it being one of the hottest days of the year in London, nobody seemed to mind. The atmosphere was full of excitement as guests enjoyed the journey through the city.
We stopped at Trafalgar Square for portraits, making the most of the iconic backdrop before continuing the celebrations.
The wedding lunch took place at Manicomio, where guests shared food, speeches and time together.
And then Bianca and Luca slipped away for a few quiet portraits at their hotel The Aria. Those moments away from the celebrations gave them a chance to slow down, take everything in and enjoy a little time together.
Later in the day, we jumped in a taxi and headed to The Boundary, where more friends joined them for the evening celebrations. The night began with their cake cutting and first dance before everyone settled into an evening of drinks, laughter and celebrating together. One of the highlights was Bianca's bouquet toss, which quickly turned into a very competitive moment with all the girls determined to catch it. It made for some of my favourite photos of the day, full of energy, laughter and genuine reactions.
I photographed a large part of the day on 35mm film. Film felt like the perfect fit for a wedding like this, adding softness, character and a nostalgic feeling to moments that already felt incredibly meaningful.
