Caroline and John had the most beautiful wedding day at Hammersmith & Fulham Register Office, surrounded by the people who matter most. After being together for over 25 years, they decided it was finally time to make it official — and they did it in the most meaningful way, with close family, lots of little ones, and a celebration timed perfectly around Christmas.

I was honoured to be contacted by Caroline's son, Rupert Young, to document the day and capture it naturally as it unfolded.

Hammersmith & Fulham Register Office Ceremony

Their ceremony took place at Hammersmith & Fulham Register Office in London, with around 30 guests filling the room with so much warmth. It was intimate, relaxed, and full of real emotion — the kind of day that feels more like a family gathering than a “formal” wedding, in the best possible way. With children of all ages involved, there was laughter, movement, and those candid moments you can’t plan (and don’t want to miss).

The ceremony was photographed as a mix of digital and 35mm film, blending crisp storytelling with the softer, nostalgic feel of analogue.

Confetti, Congratulations, and Family Photos

After the ceremony, we captured hugs, congratulations, and group photos outside, documenting everyone together in a natural way.

At-Home Wedding Reception in London

The reception took place at Caroline’s house, creating the perfect cosy setting for a winter celebration. It was a reminder that weddings don’t need to be huge to be unforgettable — just full of love, laughter, and the people who’ve been part of the story all along.

Caroline and John’s wedding was proof that the best celebrations are the ones that feel true to you. If you’re planning an intimate ceremony at a London register office and want it documented naturally, I’d love to hear about your plans.
