There’s something special about documenting the final weeks before meeting your baby. Recently, I photographed Gowravi and Sachin at Hampstead Heath and Golders Hill Park in London, capturing the evening on both digital and 35mm film.

As a London photographer, I love locations that feel natural and relaxed. Hampstead Heath is one of my favourites, with open landscapes, wild greenery, flowers, and beautiful sunset light.

Hampstead Heath offers a great variety of scenery within walking distance.

For this session, we explored both the Heath and Golders Hill Park. Soft greenery, colourful flowers, and open skies created the perfect backdrop for natural maternity photographs, while the evening light added warm golden tones.

We kept the session relaxed and natural, focusing on genuine moments rather than stiff poses.

As the couple walked and talked together, we captured a mix of guided and candid photographs. Personal touches, including flowers and ultrasound photos, helped tell their story.

Part of this maternity session was photographed on 35mm film, adding a timeless softness, beautiful grain, and natural colour palette that perfectly complemented the evening light at Hampstead Heath.

Combining film and digital photography creates a gallery that feels both modern and nostalgic, blending the reliability of digital with the unique character and emotion of analogue photography.

If you're looking for a maternity photographer in London, I offer both digital and 35mm film photography, with relaxed sessions focused on genuine connection and telling your story naturally. Get in touch to start planning your maternity photoshoot.
