There’s something really special about London before it wakes up.

I met İlayda and Levni just after sunrise for a romantic couple session around Westminster. They had travelled from Turkey and were visiting London as part of a very exciting chapter in their lives, wanting to create beautiful memories together in one of the world's most iconic cities.

One thing that made this session even more special for me was that İlayda first got in touch while she was still planning her trip to London. The fact that she chose me to capture these memories during such an important time in her life genuinely made me so happy. Being trusted by couples travelling from abroad is something I'll never take for granted.

We started early while the city was still quiet. The streets were calmer, the light was soft, and London felt almost empty as we wandered between some of its most recognisable landmarks.

İlayda wore her civil wedding outfit, which was absolutely perfect for the setting. Elegant and romantic, it suited the classic London backdrop beautifully and gave the whole session a timeless feel.

Throughout the morning, we explored some of the city's most iconic locations, including Big Ben, Westminster Bridge, the London Eye and a few quieter streets tucked away from the crowds. Rather than focusing on posed photographs, the session was all about movement, connection and letting them enjoy the experience together.

Part of this session was photographed on 35mm film alongside digital photography. Film felt especially fitting for the morning, adding softness, beautiful colours and a nostalgic feel that complemented the atmosphere perfectly.

By the end of the session, London had started to come alive around us, but we'd already captured so many beautiful moments before the crowds arrived.

Sessions like this are a reminder that you don't need a wedding day to celebrate your relationship. Sometimes all you need is a city you love, a beautiful outfit, and a reason to document this chapter of your story together.

If you're visiting London and dreaming of your own romantic couple photoshoot, I'd love to hear from you.
